Price calculations and justification:
- First, distinguish between milligrams (mg) and milliliters (ml)
- A standard dropper is approximately 0.05 ml/drop, i.e. 20 drops = ~1 ml
- A 15 ml bottle contains approximately 300 drops
- 0.6% is about 90 mg in 15 ml or 6 mg/ml
- In this set of such bottles you have 2 pieces, i.e. 30 ml and ~600 drops
- so 1 drop = 6 mg ÷ 20 drops = ~0.3 mg per drop
- calculating the price we get approx. 1.53 PLN | 0.36 EUR | 0.40 USD per 1 mg!
For comparison (assuming that homeopathic pharmacies use the same source concentration):
Potency | Content (mg/ml) | Content in 1 drop (0.05 ml) | Content in 15 ml | Product price | Price per 1 mg |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
D2 | 0,6 mg/ml | 0,03 mg | 9 mg | (nd) | (nd) |
D3 | 0,06 mg/ml | 0,003 mg (3 µg) | 0,9 mg | (nd) | (nd) |
D4 | 0,006 mg/ml | 0,0003 mg (0,3 µg) | 0,09 mg (90 µg) | 30 zł / 100 ml | ~50 zł/mg |
Now you understand why there are such differences in prices?
